President
Kumasi Vines
Kumasi Vines is the Founder and President of Vines Engineering, a Baltimore-based, full-service project and construction management firm serving the mid-Atlantic region.
Mr. Vines has extensive experience in real estate research and finance, utility construction management, and contracting oversight and policy, in both the public and private sector. Most recently, Mr. Vines was the Senior Director of Finance and Real Estate of a Washington, D.C. public charter school network where he oversaw all financial operation of the organization and the development and construction of all real estate assets. Prior to this position, Mr. Vines served as the managing executive of the City of Baltimore’s municipal water utility which served over 1.8M regional with an operating and capital budget of over $800M. He also has served as the Chief of the City’s construction contractors and design consultants pre-qualification office.
Mr. Vines earned his bachelor's degree in Economics and African-American Studies from Northwestern University. He was a Robert F. Toigo Foundation Fellow while earning a Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia Business School. Mr. Vines also holds a Master’s degree in Education Leadership through The Broad Residency Fellowship.
